COVID-19 is affecting the entire world. It has caused our main industry of Museums and Attractions to be shut down to help stop the spread of the virus and flatten the curve so our medical community can keep up with the demand for treatment.
As a result all of our current projects were canceled or put on hold indefinitely. Facing financial burdens we wanted to stay active, working from home, while doing our part to help stop the spread, now and in the future.
We know that life will eventually begin to return to normal and people will go back out and visit museums and attractions again. But when they do it will still be very important to continue practicing good hygiene by washing your hands and using hand sanitizer as new viruses and germs continue to spread. We decided to make an interactive exhibit that attracts visitors to the hand sanitizer and though interactive play educates them on the importance of washing and sanitizing their hands.
Our exhibit is based around a touch based app that we developed with Left Brain Games. Next to the app we have added a station with hand sanitizer dispensers, sanitizing wipes and a place to dispose of the used wipes.
We used SketchUp to design the exhibit, and the great people at SketchUp are helping to spread the news about the exhibit. FYI… SketchUp is really great at designing parts quickly and efficiently. LR Design+Build offers CNC routing service to cut the parts you have designed.
