Life size 3D print of a human skull using glow-in-the-dark PLA filament
We recently had the opportunity to 3D print a life size human skull out of glow-in-the-dark PLA filament.
The skull was one of the largest objects we have 3D printed to date measuring 6" high x 5" wide x 8.5" deep. However our 3D printer is capable of printing even larger objects with sizes as large as 8" high x 8" wide x 10" deep.
It took about 18 hours to print with support structure and a 10% infill on the medium resolution setting which has a layer thickness of just 200 microns. The print came out great capturing all of the fine details, which can especially be seen in the teeth.
